PROCESS
Creating a new clothing brand identity involved a comprehensive and creative process to establish a unique and compelling brand image. I began by conducting market research to understand current fashion trends, target audience preferences, and identify whitespace in the market. Next, I crafted a distinct brand name that captured the essence of the clothing line and resonated with the target audience. I came up with the name Sweet Marlene to cherish my grandmother, Marlene who passed away in the fall of 2021. To visually represent the brand, I created a logo and visual identity that reflected its personality, utilizing elements such as typography, colour palette, and imagery that conveyed the desired style and appeal. Consistency was key, so I extended the visual identity across various touchpoints, including stationery items, packaging, tags, and a website.
